SWANKFOOD is about providing bold, vibrant, no fuss recipes and reviews. It's charcoal, grass fed butter, meat with grill marks, fresh seafood, wood fired pizza, local produce, zesty marinades and spicy flavours. I want to show how easy it is to maximise flavour in everyday meals as well as providing inspiration for times when you want to show off to friends and family. It's not about fine dining or haute cuisine and I have zero training in the kitchen so if I can cook these dishes then so can you.

When possible I will try to source produce locally from Northern Irish artisan producers, local markets and Asian food stores. But let's face it a lot of the time this isn't possible and convenience wins. Apart from when buying meat I have no aversion to shopping in supermarkets which I presume rings true for most people. Talking about meat, this blog is very meat-centric which I make no apologies for.  I always get my meat from a butcher where provenance and quality is at the forefront of their business.

I hope you enjoy my recipes and reviews and gain a bit of inspiration to get into the kitchen.
